Soy Vay: Battle of the Blands!

Client: The Clorox Company

Production Company: Bunko Studios Inc.

The Objective: If we talk about bland food, rice and tofu may come to some minds. Showcasing the idea that Soy Vay bring flavor to these bland food, they created a social campaign to create a battle between what’s better, tofu or rice with Soy Vay.

The Challenge: Develop a memorable design concept that visualize the provided custom songs written and recorded just for Team Tofu and Team Rice videos.

The Solution: The songs provided by the client were powerful. The pressure was on to make sure the visuals can captivate the audience as well as the songs themselves. Listening to the songs, I saw the whole music video playing out in my mind. I quickly storyboarded the sequence. With the client’s enthusiastic approval, I designed a 3D production that would accurately produce the sequences I had made. Because I saw the characters in my mind so clearly, I modeled the characters in ZBrush and worked with the animation team to bring it to life. The clients loved my vision of creating heartfelt moments with light humorous characters.
