Saxenda MOA animation

Client / Agency: Cline Davis Mann (CDM New York)

Production Company: Bunko Studios Inc.

The Objective: Show how Saxenda works through MOA animation in a light-hearted but captivating approach.

The Challenge: Bringing life to human organs without causing viewers any discomfort in the MOA animation for Saxenda.

The Solution: My primary focus was the design of the characters and how they interacted with each other. I wanted them to be approachable and have the look of moving toys representing human organs without invoking an image of the real thing. I also wanted the voices of these characters to be gentle and warm like listening to a characters interact in a Disney movie. I wanted the animation to have a stop-motion animation feel to further separate from real human organs. I initially designed and modeled the Stomach character and pitched the design concept to the agency in our initial proposal. Once approved, I cast the voice over talent and made a radio edit to ensure story was being told accurately using the client’s script. I designed and modeled the remaining characters and worked with the creative team at Bunko Studios to get it properly textured and lit while directing the animation to fully have the character’s personalities shine through.

This light-hearted fun animation won the RX Club Award for CDM New York.
